Walk out in review

Did 40,000 people walk out?  Heck no. Mostly because 30,000 of the fan base there were Bear
fans.  So why would they walk out?

It was a success, because as I looked at the 8:57 mark...I saw alot of people leaving. Not
thousands.  Then I headed to the atrium and there were a sea of Detroit cops getting
paid overtime and holiday time to dispell any possible security threat.  But we also
saw many nice people leaving.   Our estimate from 2 of the entrances were about
700 to 1000 people or so.  More left at halftime.

But you know what, again all we cared about was our group making a statement.  A symbolic
gesture.    Win or lose for the Lions or Bears...it was a meaningless game.

Forward down the field!

Happy Holidays!

I stayed a while after the 8:57 mark ...and there were way more than 100 people that the media said.

I was by the Roar and More and the Fire Millen Chants were pretty loud. This was about 5 minutes left before halftime.

Besides the place was all Bears.

Congrats guys. You did your best to draw attention to the absolute and total destruction of the Lions franchise by Matt Millen.

A tip of the cap to you all. Happy Holidays!

When my group got up to leave a row of Bears fans stood up and applauded. They yelled at us saying, "Good for you man! Don't put up with this crap!"

You guys did good! You brought national attention to a big sore spot.

My friends from Chicago were at the game, and they told about 2 complete rows got up in front of them, then about 10 more people left before half time.

They've told me for years that they want the Lions to do well, because a better division is good
for football.

I think that the biggest problem was that there were were two factions....the ..."collective moon against the Fords" and the “Fire Millen” group...which were protesting close to the same time, which made it difficult for the media to know aht was going on.
