Yesterday was just pathetic. I'm admittedly a Lion's homer/apologist/slappy and that was hard for me to stomach. Thoughts on the game:
Mike Williams
Can this guy blow any more chances? The organization that has been so criticized for not utilizing him finally throws him a bone. First O play of the game -- about a 30 yard pass to Williams up the middle. Would have set the tone, the crowd would have reacted and instantly been engaged, defense on it's heels. He drops it. He friggin' drops it. Pathetic
Running Game
10 Carries for -3 yards?!?!? WTF?!? How can an organization with a solid runner (at least pending KJ's MRI today although it didn't look good) in Kevin Jones get -3 yards. And what's worse is only 10 carries! Where is the committment to the run? Why aren't we hammering it 25 times a game. The O'Line is horrible, that's why.
Kitna
At the beginning of the season I made a lunch bet with a Bears slappy that Kitna would have more TD's than INT's this year. I wonder if he'll be ordering an appetizer?
Coaching
Killer wrote last week that Martz should be banned from calling Time Out's. Kudos to you, TK, if you're reading this, you were dead on. Martz called 2 Time Out's in the first quarter. And it looks like its all offensive confusion that's causing it. What a waste.
I don't understand not kicking a field goal on that drive where we were on the 1 late in the 4th quarter. Abosolutely inexcusable. I heard Marinelli's explanation which was "I thought we could punch it in". Utterly ridiculous. You just had 3 shots to punch it in, didn't make it, lost your franchise RB for the game (season?) and you thought you could still punch it in? Coach, you cost us a chance to try and win the game. We would have been down by only 1 score and have a level of hope. You didn't kick that field goal and the game was instantly over.
Oh the humanity of it! I hate that the Lion's have become the laughingstock of the league. Even the Arizona Cardinals have a level of hope. I saw no positives yesterday and there's no reason for any hope at Ford Field.

I agree...from a previous post. Not going buying tickets won't send a message. The FORDs dont need the money. They arent in it for the money. NFL TV revenue protects them.
We need to embarrass them, and humilate them. They need to make better cars and sell the team.

It is about time!! The Redwings and Tigers figured it, that to win you need to have a smart GM (that will get a good scouting staff, and coaching staff). Millen may be a nice guy, but nice doesn’t translate to wins. The bum has got to go.
